Social Marketing - a whole new world

Social Marketing has been around for many years. What is social Marketing? "The planning and implementation of programs designed to bring about social change using concepts from commercial marketing" Social Marketing, in todays society, can then be sub categorized to Social Media Marketing and Networking. Social Media Marketing is: a term that describes use of social networks, online communities, blogs, wikis or any other online collaborative media for marketing, sales, public relations and customer service
Examples of Social Networking are:
Twitter
Facebook
Linkedin
Blogging
and many others

A great resource for this I have found is www.MackCollier.com along with several others.

Here is the question for the night: what do you think of social marketing / networking? Is it a phase or is it here to stay?

See you tomorrow

Grassroots Web - The beginning

Good Morning!
Let me start by introducing myself to you. My name is Julie and I have created this great "green" company named Grassroots Web.
Grassroots Web brings your marketing and communication pieces together. We believe that in business, marketing and communication are the most important pieces to get clients and maintain them. We specialize in medical, attorney and childcare sites.

We believe in this day and age that the most effective marketing and communication is online. This includes:
  • Social marketing
  • Web sites
  • Emails
  • Online ads
  • And much more.
Within these tools, we can get even more detailed in our marketing and communication by having e-newsletters and PDF documents, blogs and other online and paperless tools to market your business to consumers or other businesses.

Many consumers say that if they can not find a business or any information about them on the web, they  do not do business with that company. I totally agree with this.

This past year I was searching for information on referred specialists for my grandmother. I found that many doctors offices do not have web sites. The fact I could not find information about the specialists I was searching, made me decide not to use them.
It made me also realize that the MDs that do not have a site are missing out on many potential clients and are potentially losing clients.  MDs web sites are an essential to their clients and future clients. They help you by giving you the tool to look up on your MDs web site for hours, phone #, download any forms you need to fill out for the office, and a list of basic FAQs? The MD with a website and information for both their patients and potential patients would be more likely to maintain their client base then an MD  without a web site. These tools would also help them be a greener office.

I would like to hear your opinions. Please sign up for my daily blog and email me to find out what we can do to market your company.
Have a great day!
Julie
